AZALEA Test Shoots

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be approached to do makeup for Adelaide modelling agency AZALEA for some of their up and coming faces.  I constantly swooned over the natural beauty of the girls I made up and the confidence that poured out of them the moment they stepped in front of the camera.  Co-owner of the agency Stacey Hendrickson styled the girls beautifully in Australian labels Designer Duchess, lackofcolor and casper&pearl. Here are just a few of my most favourite photographs from those shoots by the super talented Natasha Mulroney.

Stacey offered free reign with the some of the makeup for the shoot with Gabi Borchers (above) so I opted for some of my favourite but less often used lip colours.  The luxurious red lip was created using MAC’s Lady Danger lipstick and Illamasqua’s deliciously sweet scented Intense Gloss in Touch.  This is one of the most perfect reds I have ever seen!

Gabi’s purple lip came together using, admittedly, an oft used and cult favourite lipliner called Nightmoth by MAC.  If there is one deep shaded lip liner you need in your kit, it’s this one.  It’s so versatile and even serves as a lipstick when applied all on it’s own.  Divine!  I completed the grape hue with Lime Crime’s Airborne Unicorn lipstick and blended the two products for a slight ombre look.

The soft but vivacious styling of Kiarra Jeromin’s test shoot called for an equally vivacious yet pretty pop of colour.  Keeping the eyes simple with a flick of liner, I focussed on the lips with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics’ famous lip tar in a pretty pink shade called Femme.  We flipped Kiarra’s hair up into large messy bun to accompany the floral headscarf.

Angel Allan’s look was very simple and casual to allow her work to shine.  We went for a slightly smokey warm eye colour and a very natural lip colour care of Shanghai Spice by MAC.
