It sure has been a long time between posts!
I promise I have a great reason for this. Last year my husband and I welcomed our first little tacker into the world and he sure does take up a lot of out time! The baby, not my husband…. But I like that he takes up a lot of our time because as many parents will know it’s all so rewarding and exciting seeing a little baby become a little person with their own traits, personality and general being. As tiresome as it can be sometimes!
That said, I have still been engaging myself with clients, stylists, agencies and other creatives in order to keep relevant within the industry. It’s been a challenge trying to fit this passion into a new life as a parent but it’s turned out to be a great life balance and if anything driven me to want to try new things with my business and be even more engaged with what I do.
This weekend I will be doing my first look-and-learn class for a bridal shower. Plenty of preparation has gone into this class and I am really looking forward to sharing some important makeup tips with a group. Those that know me know that I am petrified of public speaking so this is a real step outside my comfort zone but one I feel like I need to make to be able to evolve not only within my business but as a person too!
Recently, Glam Adelaide gave my business a shout out on their guide to Adelaide makeup artists and placed me as an up-and-comer next to some of the city’s best artists! Take a look here… I feel a bit like a year 8 among the year 12s in high school but what a compliment to even be mentioned! This is just another little thing that put a spring in my step hence pushing me to grow and work harder at what I do. That includes updating this here website more often! I am looking forward to a very fruitful and creative 2017 (which is scarily not very far away!) and cant wait to get back in the saddle and MAKEUP! Starting now! Which means I also want to hear from you about what you’d like to see more of from me as a makeup artist!
What makeup looks would you like to see more of?
What sort of posts would you like to see on my website?
You are the ones that make my job a possibility so your opinion matters to me!
